«©NCSX» Fifteen years ago, the Dreamcast launched in Japan and the console generated high levels of excitement and rabid devotion. Highly vaunted projects such as Shenmue and Dead or Alive 2 held the fan base in thrall with dazzling visuals and innovation. Throw in a library of arcade perfect Naomi ports and the machine was destined to become lord of the kingdom.

Never happened.

   Three years into its run, Sega pulled the plug on the DC and the console was relegated to orphan status - ostensible roadkill for the Playstation 2 juggernaut. NCS collectively shed a tear that day and sniffled a bit.

   To celebrate the demise of the Dreamcast, Sega Direct re-releases the Dreamcast wristwatch that was originally sold on D-Direct many moons ago. A silver-colored DC console shell houses the timepiece with a lid that flips upwards by pressing the "eject" button on the lower left side of the console. When a stranger on the street stops you and asks, "Please sir, what time is it?" flick your wrist up, nudge open the DC watch with a gentle tap and impress the stranger with the magnificence of shiny² Dreamcast time telling. With newfound admiration, the stranger will cast his eyes upon you and regard you as a gentleman, a scholar, and a connoisseur of only the finest things that this mortal coil can provide. He will also whisper, "Bravissimo..." in a raspy voice filled with awe.

   Farming Simulator 3D is the portable edition of the popular simulator for the Nintendo 3DS™.

   Farming Simulator 3D offers a wide range of machinery, equipment and trailers leading manufacturers, all on the Nintendo 3DS™. With Deutz-Fahr, Krone, Horsch, Amazone, Lemken, Arcusin, Krampe, and Vogel & Noot, more than half a dozen manufacturers of tractors and agricultural machines are present in the game.

   The content of Farming Simulator 3D is similar to that of the successful PC franchise. The player begins their career as a virtual farmer by taking control of a small farm that is continually expanded in the game by the purchase of agricultural land and at the same time enhanced with newer equipment and larger machines. The career mode, with its integrated financial management section, will lead the player through a variety of agronomic problems.

   To be able to turn a profit and earn money, the fields must first be processed with the field cultivator. In order to maximize income, the wheat, corn or canola crops should also be fertilized accordingly. The ripe grain is finally baled, collected and stored. Virtual assistants controlled by the game help support farmers in a number of tasks where more than one vehicle is needed at the same time.

   In the vast, freely explorable world of Farming Simulator 3D, you will find many agricultural areas surrounding the player's farmyard, an integrated road network running through the countryside, as well as a small village. The dynamic day and night cycle not only helps the player in the optimal scheduling of tasks but also adds to the overall realism of the simulation.

«©NCSX» In the Oboro Muramasa game, a kunoichi named Momohime and a ninja named Kisuke were the agents of destruction in a side scrolling platform action game. Momohime had style, speed, and deft sword handling skills which she used to chop down flighty ninja foes. Kisuke was cool too but Momohime cut a more presentable silhouette. 

   Alter pays homage to Momohime with a pretty 1/6 scale figure which measures 21cm or 8.26" tall. Momo's color scheme mixes pink and blue with two stalks of fuchsia which cover her lower legs. We're somewhat leery of the one-foot-pose because some of our Alter figures on display have a tendency to lean and falter to the effects of gravity. To prevent leaning, our Momohime figure might be supported by clear-plastic braces if we decide to display her on office shelving.
