«©NCSX» Side-scrolling 2D platform games were the rage a while ago but they're far and few between nowadays. Bandai's latest Nintendo DS release fits into the side-scrolling platform genre and it helps stave off the 2D platform death knell at least for now.
   The heroes of Do Konjou Shougakussei: Bon Bita! hail from the popular CoroCoro Comic series of the same name. The lead is a green-haired lad who can call upon an afro-wearing alter-ego for help when needed thanks to the RTS (Real Tsukomi System). Bon Bita's powers include blast-force flatulence, speed, and the ability to produce a river of water from his maw. In addition to his innate skills, a variety of "hats" may be worn which grant special momentary abilities to help Bon Bita overcome obstacles and adversaries.
