TOYS Atari Playing Cards - New Release, In Stock

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX»
Play Texas Hold'em with the officially licensed Atari Playing Cards and you'll be watching "Centipede," "Breakout," and "Asteroids" being dealt on the flop, at the turn, and when it's time for the river. The faces of the cards are adorned with images of old school Atari games and classic Atari 2600 imagery which might evoke fond memories from old timers.

The Atari Playing Cards are manufactured by Aquarius and they're regulation issue solvent-coated cards that are easy to shuffle. They're smooth so they glide across the table like a swan trawling water. Aquarius uses four games to represent the numbered cards as follows:

● Diamonds - Breakout (Ex: The "3" card = 2 blocks and the paddle)
● Hearts - Asteroids (Ex: The "4" card =  three rocks and the ship)
● Spades - Centipede (Ex: The "2" card = 1 centipede and 1 mushroom)
● Clubs - Millipede (Ex: The "4" card = 1 DDT, 2 mushrooms, 1 millipede)

The suit cards use the same themes as follows:

● Jack - Atari Legend text with the classic Atari logo
● Queen - Old school "Innovative Leisure" Atari card
● King - An image of an arcade cabinet along with "2600 VCS" text
● Ace - Classic Atari 2600 joystick image with "Atari Age" text

The designs on the cards are stark and basic which reflect the primitive simplicity of the Atari 2600 when that fake wood-paneled console was the king of the video gaming industry 30 years ago. Wood paneling was also once used on cars. We think it was because if the vehicle and its occupants were ever stranded in a tundra, the wood could be used to make a fire.

All preorders for the Atari Playing Cards have shipped as of yesterday and new orders are welcome to ship today. For the most economical shipping within the States, NCS recommends selecting USPS Media Mail on our shop. Postal options are accessible by clicking the link below the default UPS shipping options.
