NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» The first day of Summer kicked off earlier this week and that means summer vacation. Two words that generally evince feelings of relaxation and gaiety on some tropical island locale. That's how it is in Sony's Boku no Natsuyasumi Portable 2 which continues the theme of virtual summer vacations in the prime of the protagonist's youth. The year is 1975 and the protagonist Boku's mom is having a baby soon. To get Boku out of the house (and out of the way), he is shipped off to live with his cousins for the entire month of August on the island of Tomifumi.
In the new game, players get to visit the seashore where swimming deep into the depths reveals a sunken ship which may hold untold loot. New activities, sights, sounds, and all manner of discoveries may be made when exploring the world. Since little boys love bugs, new insects may be discovered and collected from a total roster of 200 creepy crawlies including beetles, butterflies, cicadas, and dragonflies. Fishing is also a natural activity on an island and Boku can cast a line and attempt to reel in the fish anywhere there's water. Some of the activities that happen over the course of the summer include meeting new friends, watching fireworks, celebrating auntie's birthday, experiencing an earthquake, and exploring a cave. A new feature in the game allow players to save their progress at any time for added convenience. In the original Boku Natsuyasumi 2, players were only able to save the game in Boku's room at night.
