«©NCSX» Namco's long running Famista baseball games have been around since 1989 and the latest game reaches the Nintendo DS this week. Pro Yakyuu Famista DS 2010 features updated team data, player stats, and a high school baseball mode. The game system has been upgraded so that pitchers can now throw breaking balls and batters can perform power swings to potentially punch pitches out of the park. Players can also play a Dream Team Pennant Mode where up to 1000 baseball cards featuring players (the game calls them "Legendary Heroes") from the past may be collected. Finally, a new Baseball Championship Family Stadium Mode allows players to engage in baseball tournament against teams from around the world for some international flavor.
