«©NCSX» Saber is the name of a blonde warrior who hails from the Fate/Stay franchise and she's been making the rounds in the toy market for a few years now. The original Saber was dressed in a fairly straightforward suit of armor with a blue and silver color scheme. Back then, she was stoic and unlikely to suffer fools easily. Over the years however, we've seen Saber in a maid's outfit, in a few swimsuits, and most recently in a bit of a meringue.
When a wedding dress is described as a meringue, that means it's big, flowing, and blossoming like a crinoline monstrosity. Saber Lily wears an outfit that could be described as a meringue. The top part looks okay but adjust your gaze to the bottom portion of the costume and it begins to look puffy, crinkly, and flowing in many different directions at once. At least the color of her shoes match.
Japanese toy manufacturer Alter gets in on the Fate/Stay trade with a new fixed-pose Saber Lily figure which is sculpted to 1/8 scale and measures 22cm (8.66") tall. The pose shows Saber drawing her sword with her left hand while her right hand holds a scabbard. The look on her face doesn't show any animosity so maybe she's unsheathing the sword for a proper cleaning. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late Oct 2009.
