Taito's Pet Shop Monogatari takes the concept of virtual pets one step further by putting you in the shoes of a pet shop proprietor. Well, you're actually the pet shop owner's kid and your job is to help mama run the shop, take care of the animals, and peddle the pets to the general populace. The pet shop's inventory includes dogs, cats, birds, bears, penguins, and even a panda just in case a customer needs an endangered animal in his living room.
