Namco's Famista baseball game series has been around since 1989 and is the longest running baseball franchise in Japan. It bests Konami's Powerful Pro series by six years and looks like it'll be around for a while. The ball players in previous Famista games had a distinctive pudgy and rounded appearance and they return to the NDS with the same overall body shape and stance. All twelve professional baseball teams from the Central and Pacific League are featured in the latest Famista along with stadiums and updated 2007 stats. In addition to the Exhibition and Season modes, players may also build an original team in the Dream League Mode. By using the wireless communication mode, players may link up online for contests of pitching and batting action.
