«©NCSX»  NCS started accepting reservations for the Japanese Nintendo 3DS last month and the fulfillment of those preorders starts today. The 3DS is available in Cosmos Black and Aqua Blue and the package includes the following items:

» SD Memory Card (2GB)
» Augmented Reality Cards (6 units)
» Instructions Booklet and Quickstart Sheet

   A single camera is situated inside the Nintendo 3DS and two cameras are mounted on the outer shell. Built-in software programs include Nintendo 3DS Sound, Mii Studio, a selection of augmented reality games for use with the AR cards, and more.

   The battery life of the Nintendo 3DS stands at 3.5 hours for 3DS games and 5-8 hours for standard DS and DSi software. Please note that the Japanese Nintendo 3DS is compatible with all Japanese DS, and DSi games but can only play standard DS games from the United States. If you attempt to play a USA DSi or 3DS game on a Japanese 3DS, you will receive an incompatible warning message.

   Due to some serious price gouging taking place amongst Tokyo-based suppliers, NCS is pricing each Nintendo 3DS at US$459.90. Roughly 50% of our preorders are shipping today and the remainder will ship on Tuesday of next week. To reiterate, the Japanese Nintendo 3DS is region-locked so it can only play Japanese 3DS game cards and software downloads. Please take note of the region limitation before considering an order. PSP Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity - New Import

On the brighter side of life, Sega released Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast and captured the attention of players around the world. Ten years later, Sega starts preorders for Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity which is a new chapter in the PSO franchise.

   New to the game is a character named Nagisa who has long hair and carries a sword that's as tall as she is. Infinity also introduces a new race known as Deumans who are SEED-plagued humans that dress like the French nobility. Or something like that.

PS3 Makai Senki Disgaea 4 - New Import

   The latest SDGGG grows further by encompassing pretty much the entire Gundam universe with 50 series featured in the game including Gundam Unicorn, Senshi Sangokuden, and the Gundam 00 movie. An extensive gathering of characters and mechs from the different Gundam franchises engage in turn-based theaters of battle.

NEWS General Updates

Nintendo 3DS     The first batch of Japanese Nintendo 3DS units are arriving tomorrow but please note that some Japanese vendors won't be able to export their allocations of the 3DS until Friday (the official release date). Due to this slight delay, roughly 50% of our preorders for the Nintendo 3DS hardware will ship on Tuesday of next week. We'll have all of the games needed to fill our preorders by tomorrow and we'll be sitting on them all weekend waiting for the remainder of the 3DS handhelds.

Muchi Muchi Pork    Another batch of Muchi Muchi Pork & Pink Sweets is expected tomorrow to fill preorders and another batch is scheduled to arrive by the middle of next week to fill recent/new orders. All of our shipments are from the first printing of the game which includes the DLC card.

Chinatown Fair...    Isn't closing after all, at least not yet. There's a lease negotiation going on with the landlord but the establishment is still open for business at 12:30PM every day. Apparently, if the lease is not renewed, CTF will be relocating to Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

NEWS General Updates

Chinatown Fair Closing Doors     Tomorrow is the last day of operations at Chinatown Fair (CTF) which babysat us when we were punk kids. It's been in operation for about 60 years and it's a dirty-ass, grimy, and sullen place but it had the latest fighters (usually) and we've wasted a lot of time there.    So... yeah, it's gone after tomorrow. The store will be gutted and probably churned into another one of about 1,000 Chinese grocery markets in Chinatown but selling soda, pop rocks, and ginseng probably generates more revenue/profit than an arcade. C'est la vie.

Muchi Muchi Pork & Pink Sweets    An early shipment of MMP & PS was dispatched from Japan last night and should arrive tomorrow. We'll be able to process about 80% of our preorders with the Wednesday shipment and the remainder will ship on Thursday. If you opted for overnight shipping, please note your order will arrive on Thursday of this week. Tracking numbers will be updated by 7PM EST tomorrow.

Nintendo 3DS    The Japanese Nintendo 3DS and games are all scheduled to arrive on Thursday-Friday of this week.
