Never one to miss opportunity, Square is following up the eau de toilettes with scented paraffin wax candles that have an aroma not dissimilar to the fruity and floral scents of the bottled fragrances.

A decorative glass container with a capacity of 50ml holds each candle and Square's preorder solicitation mentions that the candle will burn for at least 50 hours. That's more than 2 days worth of flickering flame, fruity aroma, and a smidge of soot. Once the candle is completely burned out, users are left with a pretty glass which may be used as a drinking cup or a desirable Final Fantasy collectible. The popular character illustrated by huke is back again, but this time she is wielding a 'Black Blade' instead of the previous 'Rock Cannon'. In even more contrast to the original figure, this new version has a much lighter feel to it - as she can be seen removing her jacket with her free hand, as she stands on a much more compact base compared to before.

Enjoy a whole new side of BLACK ROCK SHOOTER. Figure is sculpted to 1/8 scale (23cm or 9.05" tall). TOYS Odin Sphere: Mercedes 1/8 Scale Figure - New Import

«©NCSX» A leggy Mercedes of OdinSphere fame hurtles herself forward in Alter's 1/8 scale figure which honors the lithe winged fairy. Mercedes is one of the key characters in OdinSphere who's the daughter of the Fairy Queen Elfaria. In her storyline, Lord Odin slays her mother and Mercedes ascends to the role of Queen of the Faeries.

The Alter version of Mercedes is accompanied by a leaping frog who's also powering itself forward with its springy legs. Similar to Yamato's SIF EX rendition of Mercedes, Alter gives the Princess-Queen the Crossbow Psypher weapon so she can defend herself from malcontents. Two flowers crown Mercedes' head whilst her black wings are in full bloom and apparently holding her aloft as she seemingly flutters forward. All preorders have shipped as of yesterday and we are currently sold out of Mercedes. «©NCSX» The One Piece Strong World movie opened across Japan last December and Megahouse has been busy crafting a number of Portrait of Pirates figures based on the crew of the Jolly Roger. In the new selection of toys, the Straw Hat Pirates are depicted in a more mature and serious manner. Luffy is no longer looks like the clown-prince of the high seas in his "Strong" rendition and Nami's "Strong Edition" makes her look like a sophisticated Vegas showgirl.

Megahouse unveils the third pair of figures in their Strong Edition series which features Nico Robin and Usopp. In her new persona, Nico Robin is entirely clad in black shiny leather and her figure is womanly with a protruding bosom. A hand-weapon is included with the toy along with a pair of glasses which may be fitted onto Nico's face. Preorders have shipped yesterday and new orders are welcome to ship today.

A few years ago, an article in the Wall Street Journal examined the phenomenon of average Japanese citizens who were supplementing their incomes by trading currencies. It was an amusing piece which exposed the naiveté of the average JOE and the unbridled gambling instinct inherent in each and every one of them. Trading currencies isn't meant for amateurs but there they were, trading on margin and exposing their households to outsized risk. When the turmoil of 2008 and 2009 hit world markets, it is a likely conclusion that every single "trader" mentioned in the WSJ article got blown out when margin calls crushed their trading accounts.

With markets stabilizing to some degree in the past year, risk appetite appears to be back in Japan. To help new suckers punters traders learn the ways of foreign currency exchange, Money Partners teams up with Genki to release another forex simulator with a beginner's training aspect. Players who are into virtual trading coupled with a bit of background drama may choose the "Story Mode" where the protagonist is a 25-year old trader who learns the rudiments and ropes of currency trading before becoming a lone wolf who trades for his own account. All manner of currency pairs may be traded including Dollar/Yen, Euro/Pound, AUD/JPY, and more. Up to four currency pairs with their respective bid/ask quotations may be thrown up on the top NDS screen during a trading session while the NDS touchscreen serves as the control console.

In addition to the Story Mode, players may also hone their gambling skills by playing the "Trial Mode" which allows gamers to to set parameters such as leverage ratio and session trade time. The "Trace Mode" allows traders to view traumatic trading scenarios where markets are jolted and jerked up and down to see how to handle trend changes and witness forex carnage of epic proportions. That's when amateur accounts are wiped out by the thousands. Trading primers, a glossary, information on using leverage, and even "secrets" are included in the software. «©NCSX» To Aru Majutsu no Index is a popular manga/animation which follows the tribulations of a student named Touma Kamijyou who has a special gift. Although average in appearance despite his spiky hair and seemingly normal, Touma has the power to cancel any magic and psychic events with his right arm which he lovingly calls "Imagine Breaker." The powers of sorcerers, mages, and wizards alike are negated when Touma's right arm is lifted in defense. In the early part of the Toaru Majutsu storyline, Touma protects a girl named Misaka Mikoto from bullies but she later reveals her identity to him. Misaka is one of the seven members of "Level 5," an elite group of psychics and her specialty is the ability to create and control electricity. The two have an altercation soon afterwards.

One day after meeting Misaka, Touma encounters a hungry girl named Index who's hanging over the railing on his balcony. She's dressed in a protective nun's uniform that's impenetrable and keeps her from harm. Index also happens to be storing 103,000 magic tomes in her mind thanks to her Perfect Memory Power. The books are all taboo and imprinted into Index's brain by the Church of England to keep them from the magic users and others who would exploit the secret knowledge that they contain. Together, Touma, Misaka, and Index run into other members of the magic-using fraternity that resides within Academy City.

PSP Toaru Majutsu no Kinsho Mokuroku is a 3D action-fighting game where the combatants battle with close-range melee and long-range magic projectile attacks. Fighters choose a partner at the outset whom they can call upon to perform attack combinations. Game modes include a standard "Battle Mode" where fighters go toe-to-toe in a 3D arena and an original "Story Mode" which accentuates the action with a newly scripted tale that was written exclusively for the game.

The limited edition of the game includes an exclusive Misaka Mikoto figma figure which won't be sold in any other capacity. Preorders are welcome to ship on January 27, 2011. It's unclear why Kadokawa Shoten is starting preorders nearly half a year before the ship date but maybe they want to make sure they get their production numbers in as soon as possible.
