NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» When Peter Parker went on a fateful class trip a few decades ago, he got bitten by a radioactive spider and ultimately became Spiderman. When Kouichi Hayase goes on a class trip to the Shin Ukishima Construction Site, he's smacked by a plummeting "satellite" which leaves him in a coma. Eventually however, the incident transforms him into a mech pilot extraordinaire who possesses inordinate strength. Kouichi joins an organization called JUDA which owns a number of mechs known as Machina and Kouichi's weapon of choice is a fast and agile mech known as the Linebarrel.
The Kurogane Linebarrels game for the PSP is an S-RPG which features interactive sequences that move the story along. The interactive parts of the game may be toggled to "Auto" so that they'll move along without you having to press a button after each snippet of dialogue. Battles are fought between groups of mechs on isometric battlefields which are viewed from a 3/4 overhead perspective. When an encounter kicks off, a short animation plays which shows the clashing antics in relatively fluid motion. Voice acting accompanies the battlefield antics for additional drama.
Kouichi's team is made up of Emi Kizaki who was the original pilot of the Linebarrel, Satoru Yamashita who pilots the "Hind-Kind" Machina, Miu Kujo which drives a Machina called the "Painkiller," and a number of other mech handlers who operate their own unique Machinas.
Early preorders will ship with a bonus Linebarrels bookmark which features two nearly nude girls in bunny outfits.
