PS3 428 Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de - New Import, Restock Soon

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Back in March 2006, Famitsu readers voted and ranked a game titled Machi (Sega Saturn) their top five game of all time. Publisher Chunsoft reveled in the recognition and started making plans for a "Machi-ish" game to garner more love. The fruit of their labor was 428 Fuusa Sareta Shibuya de which was originally released on the Nintendo Wii last year where it earned a perfect score from Famitsu's jaded reviewers. This week, a PS3 port is making the rounds and... garnering the love.
428 is a digital novel that revolves around the lives of key characters who operate in Shibuya, Tokyo. The game features five stories which introduce characters such as a police officer named Kanou Shinya, a freelance writer named Minorikawa Minoru
, a corporate CEO who gets himself in a fishy situation, and a kidnapping victim named Mariab Osawa and her twin sister Hitomi. Plot turns and twists take place over the course of the characters' respective chapters which entangle them into certain situations or force them into unwelcome outcomes that'll end the game abruptly.

Battles are depicted by way of 3D rendered robots... which is a disappointment since we're of the opinion that nothing beats 2D animation in a SRW game. The first production of the game will ship with a bonus Super Robot Taisen NEO booklet in 50% ratio which is the allocation mandated by the publisher.

TOYS MOS Burger YuraYura Miniature Swing - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» The general consensus amongst our Japanese compatriots is that MOS Burger cooks up a tasty burger. MOS-B is a Japan-based chain that has been making the rounds in Asia by opening branches and bringing their interpretation of American fast food to the Far East. The company's corporate logo is "Making people happy through food" which is simple and tugs at the heartstrings of the meat-eating everyman who enjoys a good burger. Although hamburgers are their forte, MOS Burger also sells specials such as the recent "Scallops Rice Burger" which includes scallops instead of cow and a little number called the "Unagi Rice Burger" which features two sticky rice buns (instead of bread) that hold a portion of barbecued eel.
Bandai shows love to MOS Burger later this year with a set of six burger toys slung on keychains. The layers of each burger are independent so they may be stacked together or split apart to show the good eats. Although the toys are normally sold randomly through gashapon dispensers in Japan, NCS will assemble the burgers in complete sets of six which are priced at US$16.90. Preorders are welcome to ship in late December 2009.

NDS Dorabase 2: Nettou Urutorasu Tajiamu - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Baseball isn't the official national pastime of Japan but it's pretty close. Thousands of high schools and universities across Japan have their own baseball teams and the Japanese professional leagues attract a loyal following among the Pro Yakyu faithful. On the video game side of things, we look to Konami's baseball games as the standard bearers in Japan but there are others such as Dorabase which debuted in 2007. Two years later, Bandai brings a sequel to the Nintendo DS which features touch pen batting and pitching but the players aren't human. They're cats. Similar to the original game, Doraemon makes an appearance and game modes include a Story Mode with manga-panels which tell the story and a Making Mode where players create their own mangy feline players to engage in baseball.
Preorders are welcome to ship on November 19, 2009 at JPY4980 or US$53.90 from NCS.
