«©NCSX» Paul Sloane and Des MacHale are back on the confines of the Nintendo DS with a new collection of lateral thinking puzzles. In case you haven't heard, lateral thinking puzzles are situation-based scenarios which run roughly a paragraph long. The puzzle presents a problem and asks a question. Your job is to think about the situation and come up with a solution based solely on the scenario that's described in the single paragraph. Level 5's Atamania "casual gaming" brand was launched earlier this year with the first Sloane to MacHale collection of puzzles and the sequel features more of the same lateral thinking exercises. «©NCSX» Step into the Edo period (1615-1868) of medieval Japan when the Tokugawa Shogunate adopted an isolationist policy. Despite the official stance of closing the country from outsiders, travelers from around the world nevertheless visited Japan and the country enjoyed flourishing internal growth and trade.

Players take control of a roaming samurai who enters random battles on roads against bandits, help villagers, and enter into other scenarios which require skilled swordsmanship and samurai might. When the samurai enters a small town named Amahara, he discovers a tense situation where the yakuza are in the midst of a conflict with the local magistrate. The citizenry of Amahara are burdened by the aggressive yakuza while being yoked by a harsh magistrate who metes out punishment with ease. When our hero arrives, he tips the scales in favor of whomever he decides to work for - whether it be the yakuza, the law, or the regular folk. The aim of the game is to survive the skirmishes and conflicts that erupt for at least 10 days. Samurai Dou 2 was originally released on the PS2 in 2003 but the game's being ported to the PSP later this year. The PSP conversion features improved loading times over the PS2 version and new elements we'll flesh out when the game arrives. Preorders ship on Sept 3, 2009.

Osouji Sentai Clean Keeper H - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» An average high school sophomore named Kurou Minamoto has been recruited (against his will) to clean up Takamagahara High School. For the unenlightened, Takamagahara in the Shinto religion refers to the heavenly plain where deities reside. Kurou's janitorial duties takes on a more serious turn when three devilish hussies launch a coordinated effort to slather dirt and detritus throughout the school. If the grime was just a few smears of peanut butter or some puffs of dust, it wouldn't be too bad but they're actually big globules of bacteria-like malfeasance that clings to students. They don't look particularly pleasing either.

Kurou won't have to clean up the mess alone. He's able to find cleaning fairies and partner them up with five maidens to help him clean. The girls include an orange-haired student named Mariko Kasugano, Kyoko Natsukawa, Ruri Akiha, and Akira Fuyumori. The Clean Team uses everyday tools to brush aside the splotches and your job is to make like a maid. Osouji Sentai Clean Keeper is equal parts interactive-adventure and janitorial missions that eventually lead up to a conclusive cleaning encounter. Mobile Suit Gundam Senki U.C. 0081 - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Gundam series with a new game that mixes animated sequences with 3D run 'n gun action. In the Story Mode, players step into the persona of Hugues Couraud who leads "Phantom Sweep," an Earth Federation strike force that hunts the remaining Zeon forces after the conclusion of the One Year War. On the side of the Zeon are the "Invisible Knights" who are led by Erik Blanque and provide adversarial foil to the forces of the Earth Federation.

Gundam Senki U.C. 0081 features over 70 Gundam and Zaku mechs including the RX-78-7 which is the seventh model of the legendary Gundam mech. An online mode allows up to four players to cooperate on missions or engage in blistering firefights against each other. According to the preorder solicitation, Bandai will include a bonus DLC card with the first production of the game. Makai Senki Disgaea 3 Append Disc - Import Preorder

NCS is ironically a big consumer of the Playstation Network cards that we supply to the retail market. We've already downloaded the Disgaea 3 content that's been available on the Playstation Store but we want a hardcopy of those downloads for posterity and for the NCS vault. Nippon Ichi answers our demand with the Disgaea 3 Append Disc which collects the complete Raspberyl scenario (all four chapters), playable Prinny, and a software patch which updates the game to version 5.0. In the Raspberyl scenario, players take on the role of the ginger-haired delinquent who decides to tackle the teaching profession on her own terms.

Other cultures also have their own literary classics and Kobun Kanbun DS collects 50 classical works of literature from Japan in one little sliver of a game card. Notable titles in the collection include "Heike Monogatari" which recounts the war between the House of Minamoto and the Taira Clan, "Makura no Sōshi" (The Pillow Book) by Sei Shōnagon on Japanese court culture, and Genji Monogatari by Murasaki Shikibu which follows the life and times of a character named Hikaru Genji.
