Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou DX Pack - New, In Stock

«©NCSX» What do you get when you mix Suzumiya Haruhi with Idol Master? Conjure up images of dancing girls backed up by ear-piercing J-Pop and you have the general idea behind both games. In the case of the new Suzumiya title, it's one to three girls on impromptu stages with choreographed moves that's strangely mesmerizing. Once you begin watching, you can't take your eyes off the theatrics. Sort of like watching a car accident or a drunken bum fight in the middle of some metropolitan nowhere.

The dancers are Yuki Nagato, Suzumiya Haruhi, and Mikuru Asahina and their moves are basically syncopated together with Suzumiya or another girl serving as the lead superstar. To succeed in the game, players watch the cue area on the bottom of the screen and wave the Wii Remote at the right time to control Haruhi so she dances in time to the music.

The limited edition includes a posable Revoltech Fraulein Haruhi figure which is dressed in a school uniform. Haruhi's expression is somewhat maniacal since her mouth is as wide open as her eyes. The quality is excellent however as is typical of Revoltech toys. «Game Notes»

Monster Hunter G - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» Originally released for the Playstation 2 in 2005, Capcom ports Monster Hunter G to the Nintendo Wii later this year. Players take on the role of an adventurer who ventures into the wilderness to butcher dinosaurs, monsters, and other creatures. The Wii conversion of the game features new monsters and monster variants, a new quest mode, and four player cooperative online play.

Monster Hunter G Starter Pack - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» Capcom's releasing a snazzy new Monster Hunter G-themed Classic Controller for the Japanese Wii but there's a catch. The controller is only available as part of the upcoming Monster Hunter G Starter Pack which includes a copy of Monster Hunter G, a Monster Hunter 3-tri preview, and a bonus Monster Hunter Card.

The new Classic Controller is painted a deep blue color and sports a representation of a winged golden dragon on the left side of the pad. The Monster Hunter G logo stretches across the top of the controller. Preorders are welcome to ship on April 23, 2009 at JPY5090 or US$65.90 from NCS.

Metroid Prime: Wii de Asobu - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» NCS recalls the overbearing negativity surrounding Metroid Prime when it was first disclosed that the game would be a 3D first-person shooter. Fevered Metroid devotees cursed the House of Nintendo and vowed revenge for ruining the franchise. Remember, this was way before the game was even released and yet revenge was being plotted.

When Metroid Prime finally launched stateside in late 2002, NCS was prepared for the consumer backlash and the vitriol since there was no way the game could possibly be good. We waited. One day passed and then another. The backlash never came. Metroid Prime silenced the naysayers by being a worthy successor to its forebears and the gaming world was better for it.

Nintendo has already released three Gamecube remakes on the Wii and they've all been fine revamps. The Metroid Prime upgrade features Nunchuk and Wii Remote control where the nunchuk is used for Samus' movement and the remote manipulates an onscreen targeting cursor. Phantom Brave Wii - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» On a small island located somewhere across the sea, there lives a young girl named Marone. Gifted with the ability to control phantoms, Marone earns her bread and butter by accepting missions from clients who contact her by way of bottled messages. Upon receiving a request for help, Marone gathers together a cadre of phantoms such as Ash - who's a mighty swordsman - and the group ventures forth on battles and various scenarios to make their money. Phantom Brave bears similarities to Disgaea and there's good reason for that - illustrator Takehito Harada is the character designer and Phantom Brave fits squarely into the strategy-RPG video gaming genre.

Phantom Brave was a hit on the Playstation 2 and Nippon Ichi is developing a Wii rendition that's scheduled to ship in March 2009. Exclusive features in the Wii game include new characters, new items and customizations, and a new scenario dubbed "Another Chapter Marone."
