«©NCSX» Dastardly wolves are after mama's piglets and that sort of behavior won't be tolerated. By using balloons to float down and then up against mama's tree bastion, the wolves hope to snatch enough piglets for a veritable feast. To counter the threat of piglet kidnapping shenanigans, mama rides a little lift and wields a bow and arrow to shoot the balloons and thus drop the wolves to their much deserved deaths. Along with the balloon-piercing arrows, beefy hunks of meat appear intermittently which mama may use to crush entire arcs of wolves as they waft their way through the air.

 

   Pooyan features two varieties of shooting challenge and two mini-games which allow mama to score bonus points. In the first level, wolves descend from the top of a platform to reach the ground safely and climb up mama's tree fortress. To stop their assault, shoot the balloons that keep the wolves aloft so that they plummet onto the forest floor. The floaters wield a little shield which blocks mama's shots. In the second level, the wolves take things personally when they conspire to rise up on balloons to a platform in order to push a rock on top of mama. To stop their heinous plans, shoot them before enough of them reach the top and have enough wolf-power to shove the rock on top of our courageous heroine.

«©NCSX» Publisher Kadokawa Shoten originally scheduled shipping their puzzle game Building Baku towards the end of 2001. The events of 9-11 derailed those plans but as the new year commences, Kadokawa pushes onwards with release.

   Baku can mean a number of things in Japanese. In a certain video game from Sega, Baku Baku refers to the sound that animals make when they nosh on fruit. In Japanese myth, a Baku is an animal amalgam or monster who feeds on nightmares and turns them into good luck for the dreamer. Baku also means explode. Building Baku. Building Explode. In the game, players place bombs in strategic locations inside representations of world famous buildings and landmarks. The goal is to link the bombs together so as to trigger them but only a limited number of explosives are available per stage. Once the ignition factor is set, the bombs blow up and the building begins to collapse. The scene then shifts to an animation of a building getting demolished. 

   Since there are a variety of building in the game that are of different height and shape, different bomb linking strategies are required to bring each one down. An "Undo" move which goes back a few steps can be used to erase poorly positioned bombs once you've laid them down.

   This game is also known as Buile Baku. The game was released in Europe in 2004 under the name Detonator by Midas Interactive. A stateside release is highly unlikely given the current and ongoing political climate.

TOY IdolMaster Arcade Cabinet Kit - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» Namco originally released Idolmaster to Japanese arcades in 2005 and the game eventually made its way to the Xbox 360 and spawned a sequel. Japanese toy manufacturer Wave builds a 1/12 scale representation of the Idolmaster Arcade Cabinet which is being released under the company's new "Memorial Game Collection" series of coin-op cabinet recreations. The cabinet is accompanied by props such as a seat and a collection of 10 different screen cards which may be slotted onto the cabinet's monitor to show different scenes from the Idolmaster game.

   Please note the Idolmaster Arcade Cabinet Toy is a kit which requires assembly, glue, and paint to recreate the arcade cabinet photo shown to the left.  «©NCSX»  The September 29, 2011 issue of Weekly Famitsu features a sneak peek at the iNVADERCADE from Taito which transforms an iPAD or iPAD2 into a desktop Space Invaders arcade cabinet. A ball-top joystick is located on the left side of the cab while a single button near the middle of the control console ensures that the cabinet won’t have much utility outside of playing Space Invaders.

The cab also serves double duty as a charging dock and is equipped with stereo speakers and a headphone jack located on the right side of the control console. The price of the iNVADERCADE is set at JPY15800 or US$259.90 from NCS. Delivery in Japan is expected on October 11, 2011 and preorders are welcome.

«©NCSX» Brand new and factory packaged Imagineer Arcade Stick for the Super Famicom, Mega Drive, Neo Geo, Neo Geo CD, and PC-Engine. How does Imagineer's joystick play well with so many consoles? By using a universal input port and including the necessary cables for all of the supported consoles. The cables measure 2.4m or 7.87' each and they're all bagged up and twist-tied in factory sealed condition. The joystick features turbo-fire for all six face buttons and a slow-motion function may be toggled by pressing the button labeled "SLOW" which is located to the right of the turbo switches. The controller is solidly built with non-creaky appeal and the joystick is the non-clicky kind.

Product Condition
NCS' remaining inventory is brand new and factory boxed in the original cardboard containers. The packaging is in very good structural shape with only a few slight dings caused by years of warehouse-to-warehouse transportation and storage.

Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta! - JPN Preorder

G.rev's latest Naomi endeavor is another vertical shooter which features characters designed by Mizuki Takayama of Senko no Ronde fame and spitfire gameplay that requires twitchy manipulation. The game has been co-developed with a team of former Seibu Kaihatsu staffers who now call themselves GULTI.

Four shooting heroes are featured in the game including the title hero Mamoru, a girl named Mayuno, and a hipster who answers to Kinya. They've all been summoned to the underworld by a priestess named Fururu who needs their help. Preorders are welcome to ship in late July 2008 at JPY178,000 or US$1800 per Naomi cartridge kit which includes shipping from overseas.

Street Fighter IV PCB Kit - Preorder Import

NCS is still undecided if we'll be importing a Street Fighter IV kit for the rec room when the game ships later this year. On one hand, we're curious about Capcom's new foray into 2D fighting with the franchise that basically made the company in the late 80s and early 90s. On the other hand, we might be able to convince one of the local operators to buy a kit from us and we'll just pay the admission fee of $0.50 to test the game on their premises. The only downside to that plan is competing against the rabble for a chance to play.

Street Fighter IV is based on the Taito Type-X2 hardware and we're soliciting preorders for the complete pcb kit which includes:
