«©NCSX» Clare is a silver-eyed killer who's a Claymore - a mercenary of sorts who has the ability to discern humans from monsters-hiding-as-humans. Clare carries a claymore as her weapon which she uses to slice and dice monsters with clean-cuts that lop off arms, legs, and even shears abdomens apart like paper. Digital Works Entertainment' upcoming Claymore game features side scrolling platform action where Clare jumps, attacks, and lunges with stilted abandon. The preview for Claymore on the publisher website features a stiff-looking Clare as she faces off against adversaries. Maybe Clare is so disciplined that she maintains a proper posture even when she's jumping and hacking away. The supporting cast of characters from the manga such as Raki, Priscilla, and others also appear in the game. Preorders are welcome to ship on May 28, 2009 at JPY4800 or US$52.90 from NCS.
«©NCSX» A new Full Metal Alchemist animated series debuts on April 9, 2009 which stays true to the storylines established in the original manga. With the new serial about to start, Japanese manufacturers are preparing toys and related products to cash in on the Full Metal Alchemist brand.
Banpresto recently announced the Full Metal Alchemist Choco Minto figures which feature a 4:3 (head to body) ratio and are fully colored and ready for display. «©NCSX» Romance games in Japan are generally interactive in nature with little if any joypad action. That all changes when Idea Factory releases Ore ga Omae wo Mamoru for the Nintendo DS. Geared toward players of the fairer sex, the game features 2D side scrolling action where androgynous male heroes hack and slash beasts in deep dungeons. The top NDS screen shows the platform action whilst the touch screen depicts a map of the overall area. The first printing of the game will include a bonus Drama CD in 100% ratio as shown to the right.
Preorders are welcome to ship on April 30, 2009 at JPY4800 or US$52.90.
«©NCSX» In the Skip Beat! manga serial, male readers learned that "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" is an adage that should be heeded. As the story goes, Kyoko Mogami is a young woman who has feeling towards a lad named Sho Fuwa and things seem hunky-dory. When she finds out that he's just using her as a stepping stone on his way to becoming a top pop idol, Kyoko loses it. She's so angry that she resolves to also become a pop idol and beat Sho at his own game. Whether or not she has any talent is immaterial. A woman has been scorned and the person who did the scorning must pay.
(株)Genterprise adapts the Skip Beat manga for the Nintendo DS with an interactive adventure game which features an original scenario that was written especially for the game. Two new characters who were not in the animated series also appear in the adventure. The voice actors from the television serial were also hired to provide the voices in the game. Preorders are welcome to ship on May 28, 2009 at US$72.90 from NCS. The first production of the game will include a bonus Soundtrack CD in 1:1 ratio.
«©NCSX» A second batch of the Asian version of Demon's Souls was dispatched from Hong Kong last night and we'll be able to process and ship another group of preorders this Wednesday. NCS processes and ships preorders in the order that they were received. For example, an order that was submitted by a customer on February 20 would ship earlier than an order placed on March 8. Please note that the quantities available from distributors and suppliers continue to be spotty which may indicate a large backlog for the game in the marketplace. We don't know for sure but that's what it looks like.
Although we won't we able to ship all pending preorders this week, NCS expects to be able to fill all remaining orders by next week when the third batch of the game arrives from Hong Kong. We should also be able to start accepting and shipping same-day orders for the game by next week if supplies pan out as expected.
