Instead of traversing the galaxy on woolly adventure after adventure, R2 now serves as kitchenware. To be precise, a soy sauce bottle. A few months ago, R2 was a laundry basket. What's next? A toilet roll? A donut holder? Will the madness ever end and is anyone listening?

   Despite our protestations, the R2-D2 exploitation will probably never end so if we can't beat 'em, we join 'em. NCS shamelessly engages in the peddling of R2-D2 products and we're selling the soy sauce bottles today. Each droid holds about 4 oz of liquid in its barrel-like body and the dome on top twists off for easy access to its innards. We tried filling R2 with water, milk, vodka, and soy sauce and everything poured out with ease. That is, until we tried olive oil which was too viscous to make it through the droid's pour-hole. Each droid measures 5" tall and there are no moving parts so the soy sauce bottles should last for a long time with proper care.

   Rockman measures 7cm or 2.75" tall and is tinted two shades of blue. His boxy body is painted a light-blue while his helmet, hands, and feet are colored navy blue. There was one in front of the big JAF Post Office in Manhattan which we were tempted to "uproot" from the sidewalk but the local constabulary would've probably given chase. Besides, we weren't inclined to spend time incarcerated with bunkmates not of our own choosing.
 
    As summer rolls around, we get an R2-D2 mailbox of our very own. Except it's miniature and serves double duty as a Star Wars themed piggy droid bank which holds coins. There's no coin-slot on the bank but currency may be dropped inside R2-D2 by pulling on the mailbox door and slipping in dimes, pennies, and nickels. The mailbox measures 16cm (6.29") tall and is made of sturdy PVC with four spindly supporting legs.

«©NCSX» A few years ago, NCS stocked a Spiderman Clock which featured the swinging webhead... literally. Good old Spidey served as a pendulum of sorts and swung dutifully 24/7. Since then, there hasn't been any other import wall clocks that attracted our interest. Until now. Banpresto has been producing merchandise based on Nintendo nostalgia for a few years now and the company releases three wall clocks inspired by retro Nintendo themes as follows:

   We're partial to the Donkey Kong clock but the other two are retro chic as well. The stark design of the blue Famicom logo clock brings back fond memories of the early 80s when Nintendo dominated the market. The clocks are made of a single 1/16" thick PVC disc with a mounting bracket located on the back. Hammer a nail into a wall and then hook the clock onto it. DONE. The diameter of each clock measures 25cm or 9.84" and the hands on each timepiece are colored white for stark contrast against the background colors. A single AA battery (not included) keeps the clock ticking.

   We figure all three clocks would mesh well in our little Nintendo shrine where munchkin visitors may alight on the retro flavored Famicom cushions and fiddle around with Nintendo sound keychains. Pricing is set at US$38.90 each and all preorders ship today. New orders are welcome.

«©NCSX» This product listing is for a new and factory sealed P's Card Digital Photograph CD-Rom "maybe" which contains the following items:

1) Plastic trading card which bears the image of girl group "maybe" in revealing street wear.
2) The back of the plastic card holds a square-shaped 8cm CD-Rom which contains photos, a short movie, and wallpaper files featuring the three members of "maybe."

   The card and CD are packaged in a cardboard holder with a cellophane protector located on the front. The CD-Rom can be played on a Windows (98, ME, XP, Vista) PC and contains images that measure 800x600 in size. The P's Cards were originally released in 2004 and featured gravure idols and actresses but they're no longer being produced. The manufacturer's website used to be at http://www.psworld.org but they went out of business so the P's Cards are somewhat difficult to find nowadays.

SALE Viewtiful Joe Jo Jo Clock (2004) USA Release $30.98

 «©NCSX» We located the Viewtiful Joe Jo-Jo Clock in storage about a week ago and mistakenly assumed that they were a Japanese bonus item. We checked our invoice history and determined that they were actually released in the United States for the debut of Viewtiful Joe 2 on the Gamecube. The invoice for the game was originally printed in November 2004.
 
    The Viewtiful Joe clock is designed to sit on a desktop where a weighted base allows it to stand and wobble upright. The LCD on top of the clock tells time as well as the date. To adjust the settings for the time and date, you'll have to twist and remove the back of the clock to access two buttons. A small  battery powers the clock which is still running after four years in NCS warehouse storage.

One such product is the Michael Jackson Air Freshener which is guaranteed to freshen up the air indoors with a positively refreshing scent.

   The MJ Air Freshener uses the "Smooth Criminal" persona from the music video of the same name where Michael is decked out in natty white threads and a matching white hat. Michael raises both arms as smooth criminals are apt to do. The back of the freshener is colored black with licensing information from Ecbizz Japan. According to the manufacturer, once the air freshener is released from its plastic bag and is hanging in a room or a car, the scent will last between 2-4 weeks. Once the scent is depleted, users may insert the freshener back into its bag and put it away in storage. Dig it out about 20 years from now and show it to the kids, the grandkids, or the village folk to demonstrate how Michael Jackson merchandising mania even reached the shores of Japan.
