Wii No More Heroes 2 Desperate Struggle - Import Update

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Preorders for the Japanese Wii version of NMH2: Desperate Struggle were started earlier this month. The publisher Marvelous has updated some information regarding the regular edition of the game. According to the distributor, all preorders should include the bonus erotica comic rather than the 50% ratio that was originally stated on the preorder solicitation. However, they also mentioned that there is a "possibility of cut from maker" which is sort of confusing. They also confirmed that the limited edition of NMH2 for the Wii will include the bonus erotica comic in 1:1 ratio. Preorders for both versions ship on October 21, 2010.

Marvelous also announced a reproduction of the original No More Heroes Wii game which is scheduled to ship on September 30, 2010. A reproduction is different from a reprint because the reproduction is identical to the original release in every way from the product SKU, the JAN code, the silkscreen on the disc, and the DVD insert that adorns the DVD case. Sadly, the retail price is identical to the original release as well at JPY6800 but maybe someone in Japan should alert Marvelous to the fact that there are still vendors who are holding ample stock in their inventory which they sell at JPY2800 to JPY3400.

PSP Tenchou no Igo - Import Preorder

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» The game of Go or Igo has been around for thousands of years. The Chinese played the game first and Go spread to the other countries in the Pacific where it's still played today. The gist of Go is this: Two players sit before a grid-laced playboard measuring 19 x 19 equidistant lines. Each player is supplied with a collection of stones which are placed on the intersections of lines. One player drops white stones whilst the opponent puts down black stones. Once a stone is placed on the board, it lays there like a... stone. The goal of the game is to drop stones on the board in order to capture the opponent's stones and remove them while trying to prevent the capture of your own stones. The genius of Go's design is in its simplicity but although the rules are simple, mastery of the game's possible strategies and nuances can take a lifetime due to the variables at play.

Tenchou no Go was a popular PC version of Igo and the publisher is porting it over to the PSP. The software uses an artificial intelligence program dubbed "Zen" which has beaten professional Go players at tournaments. Zen was developed by Yamato of Japan and ranks alongside programs such as MoGo and Crazy Stone. Preorders for the PSP import Tenchou no Go are welcome to ship on October 28, 2010 at JPY4800 or US$56.90 from NCS.

NEWS S.W.C - Day 11 - Card Captor Sakura Gashapon

NCS Product Synopsis
Original Update:
July 22, 2004
Sale Update: August 17, 2010

«©NCSX» Sakura Kinomoto and Tomoya Daidouji are the focus of Bandai's set of six Card Captor capsule toys aka gashapon. No less than four of the figures feature Sakura by herself while one includes both Tomoya and Sakura in bust form where their upper bodies and heads protrude from a squat base. In the last figure, Tomoya shares the spotlight with a miniscule Kerberos and a laptop of sorts which is painted pink and pastel blue. The gashapon figures measures approximately 3" each and require a bit of assembly before they're whole and ready to stand. For example, one version of Sakura is accompanied by Kerberos which plugs into a receptacle on the left side of Sakura's shoulder. Some of the figures are accompanied by transparent braces which are inserted onto the back of the figures' foot to prevent them from toppling over while being displayed. NCS supplies this item in a complete set of six figures as shown on the upper left photo.
