Project Sylpheed

Sylpheed has been around since 1985 where it first saw life on the PC with a little game called "Silpheed: The Super Dogfighter." From those humble beginnings, a sequel for the MegaCD was released in 1993 followed by "Silpheed the Lost Planet" on the PS2 nearly a decade later. The latest edition of the Silpheed saga arrives in shorter time and provides an exhilarating 3D space shooting experience where the 16 missions are viewed from a "behind the starship" perspective.

When an aggressive alien force attacks, the Delta Saber is scrambled to meet the threat. The cinemas of the game mesh seamlessly with the in-game action with stunning visuals and floaty fast action. The ship may be viewed in the camera at all times and targeting cursors are shifted around to shoot at enemies. As the enemy ships flit through the cosmos and become movable targets, the canopy of stars rotate and twirl time with the movement of the ship. Enemies counterattack with missiles and laser fire which blaze through the ether. A red -Missile Alert- warning flashes whenever you're locked on with enemy projectiles. Mission objectives are presented before each game and the feeling of flight and motion are well done thanks to the beautifully rendered visuals in the game.
