TOYS Tron & Sark Kubrick Figure Set - Preorder

   Imported from Japan! Twenty-five years ago, Disney revolutionized filmmaking with the cutting-edge film TRON. Computers, then becoming more and more prevalent in society, became the setting for a story of tyranny and rebellion within the confines of what would be termed "cyberspace." The film's main characters, the security program Tron and the command program Sark are recreated by Medicom as 2" tall Kubrick figures for this 2-pack. Limited to 1,500 sets outside of Japan, this is one set that no fan of the film will want to miss.

TOYS SW Super Shogun Stormtrooper Vinyl Figure - Preorder

   Children growing up in the 70s and 80s had their lives touched by two pop culture phenomena: the Star Wars saga and Jumbo Machinder toys (marketed in the US as Shogun Warriors). Acclaimed toy design firm Super7 has combined Star Wars characters with the Japanese Super Robot aesthetic to create a collectible that could only have been imagined in the past.

   The Star Wars Stormtrooper Super Shogun stands 24" tall, and features free rotating wheels on the bottom of his feet and a spring-loaded Rocket Punch firing fist. Utilizing the same techniques implemented by Japanese toy manufacturers in the 1970s, the figure is constructed from durable, blow-molded polyethylene with a painted vinyl helmet. The figure is articulated at the neck and shoulders, and includes a removable, highly-detailed BlasTech E-11 laser blaster.

   As a special bonus, metallic foil stickers are included to allow fans the option to customize the torso with the character name in English or in Japanese. Collectors of both Japanese and Star Wars memorabilia are sure to be impressed with the care taken to fuse the disparate concepts into one unique entity. Packaged in an illustrated gift box, each Stormtrooper is individually serial numbered as part of this one-time limited edition production run of only 1200 pieces. Preorders ship on Nov 24, 2010.

Standing over 20" tall on her themed base, this is not only a stunning depiction of the first robot to appear in film, but also a standalone Art Deco work of art! This incredible piece is constructed from heavyweight polystone and then hand-painted to the finest detail.

TOYS Fred Moore Girl Statue Blonde or Brunette - Preorder

   Known primarily as a premiere animator for such studios as Disney and Walter Lantz, Fred Moore was equally known for his drawings of alluring females. Based on his provocative sketches, the Moore Girl maquette, in either Blonde or Raven-haired versions, both exquisitely sculpted by Kent Melton, are bombshell additions to any collection! These sculptures are of the highly sought-after "Freddie Girls," pin-up babes drawn by Fred Moore primarily in the 1940's. They were mostly nude (thus sought-after by the male horndogs at the studio), and they utilized all of Moore's talents for fluidity, charm, appeal, and great posing, although channeled for a slightly different (ahem) purpose. Standing 9 1/4" tall, these statues feature a design that is as confidently audacious as it is supple.

TOYS Zoids Shield Liger Diecast Action Figure - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» When Napolean Dynamite doodled his version of the animal known as a "Liger," it looked like a sissy with its gentile face and effete haunches. Napolean defined the Liger as follows, "It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic."

   The Liger in Zoids is much more formidable and powerful than Napolean's pansy-assed rendition. Zoids Liger would probably shred Napolean Liger with one swipe of its left paw coupled with a bite to the neck. Due to the Zoids Liger's elite fighting skills, NCS is intent on importing the toy when it's released later this year.

   Zoids Liger is made of die-cast metal which makes it heavy and tough. The toy is posable so that its head may be twisted, its legs angled, and its torso shifted into dynamic poses. According to Yamato's product preorder sheet, the Liger has 24 movable parts and the whole toy is made up of 200 pieces that have been meticulously melded together. The canopy on the Liger may be opened to allow a toy pilot (included) to be inserted inside. The Liger measures 44cm or 17.32cm in length and is fully pre-painted and ready for play.
