«©NCSX» Sudoku is a game of logic and numbers where the digits 1 through 9 are placed within a 9x9 play board. Sounds simple enough but the rules dictate that each number can only appear once in any one row or column. Furthermore, the 9x9 board is broken up into nine distinct 3x3 areas that can only hold the numbers 1 through 9 in its squares and no number may be repeated in each 3x3 area.
If that sounds like your kind of game, Nicoli's bringing out a PSP version of their popular Sudoku puzzle collections. If you're the type of gamer who enjoys a game of Sudoku every once in a while, you're in luck. TDK releases a a collection of 500 Numpla puzzles and Oekaki Logic games. Numpla is another name for Sudoku with the same rules and game play strategies. Oekaki Logic refers to picture creation puzzles where a grid is filled in with colors by following the numbered clues at the side and top margins.
Beginners may start working on the level 1 puzzles while experts can test their mettle with the level 10 puzzles. For players who want to see how they match up against other players, there's a Wi-Fi Ranking feature which allows gamers to upload their clear times to a national registry (in Japan). A training mode is also available to learn play techniques.
