Product Synopsis

            MegaHouse released the first rendition of Dracule Mihawk back in 2009 and a new version of the Portrait of Pirates toy figure ships later this year. The updated Dracule is largely fixed-pose like the original but two sets of arms are included for different poses.

A sword prop is included in the packaging which may be gripped in Silvers' left hand. Additional hands are included for orienting the sword in different positions.

«©NCSX»  Bartholomew Kuma is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea aka Shichibukai and he carries a bounty of 296,000,000 on his head. Kuma's a big burly bear of a man and he carries a Bible with him like an evangelist of sorts except he doesn't do much preaching. Kuma was originally ordered to destroy the Straw Hat Pirates but decides against it, bargaining to only take Luffy's life but Zoro offers his own life in place of Luffy. Kuma agrees but after doing the deed, he doesn't confirm Zoro's death...

   Bartholomew wears a black shiny jacket with a white symbol on the front - it could be a representation of the crosshair of a gun or perhaps an improvised ship's steering wheel. Kuma's hat bears a pair of mouse ears which make him appear like a Disney Mouseketeer. Repeat: Mouseketeer.

   Megahouse's rendition of Bartholomew Kuma is sculpted to 1/8 scale and measures 33cm or 13" tall so he towers above the other members of the Portrait of Pirates figures that have been released thus far. «©NCSX» The "Strong World" rendition of Portgas D. Ace decks the foster brother of Luffy D. Monkey in a shiny and swishy leather jacket with matching leather pants. Portgas normally runs around shirtless like Matthew Mcconaughey but he gets on some garb in the Strong World movie to match the Straw Hat Pirates who are in matching leather duds. To add to the leather ensemble, Portgas' waist is adorned with a studded leather belt.

   Portgas's Strong World figure includes a total of three firearms - two rifles which may be hefted in his hands and a pistol that's slotted into a holster attached to his left leg. Two flames are affixed to Portgas' hands, one which billows upwards from two fingers on his right hand and a larger flame which emanates from the palm of his left hand. All preorders for the Portgas figure have shipped already and new orders are welcome to ship this afternoon.

«©NCSX» The barrel-chested Vista is a mustachioed muscle man with a penchant for swordplay. In one battle against Dracule Mihawk, the two decided to call a truce after they discovered that they were evenly matched after exchanging a few sword strokes and otherworldly slashes.

   The Portrait of Pirates rendition of Vista is stocky and powerfully built which befits Vista's animated persona. His outfit is of the superhero-ish caliber with a billowing cape and a shirt which is opened at the chest to show the world his pectorals and hirsute nature. A pair of cutlasses with semi-circular handles is included with the figure which are sheathed into scabbards that are fixed to his sides. Vista's arms are pointed downwards so he won't be wielding any sabers in this incarnation. Preorders for the Vista figure have shipped already and new orders are welcome.

«©NCSX» The One Piece Strong World movie opened across Japan last December and Megahouse has been busy crafting a number of Portrait of Pirates figures based on the crew of the Jolly Roger. In the new selection of toys, the Straw Hat Pirates are depicted in a more mature and serious manner. Luffy is no longer looks like the clown-prince of the high seas in his "Strong" rendition and Nami's "Strong Edition" makes her look like a sophisticated Vegas showgirl.

Megahouse reissues figures in their Strong Edition series which features Nico Robin. In her new persona, Nico Robin is entirely clad in black shiny leather and her figure is womanly with a protruding bosom. A hand-weapon is included with the toy along with a pair of glasses which may be fitted onto Nico's face. Preorders ship in February 2012.

«©NCSX» Megahouse originally released the Portraits of Pirates CB-EX Luffy & Ace Brotherly Bonds figure set on January 30, 2011 and sold out shortly afterwards. To meet continuing demand for the set, the company has announced a new production of the figures which ships in October 2011.
   Luffy measures approximately 13cm tall while Ace is slightly taller at 15cm. The two "siblings" sport broad toothy smiles to express something stronger than happiness. That kind of smile moves beyond normal happiness into the realm of ecstatic and perhaps maniacal joy. If you could bottle that kind of joy and sell it at Walmart, you'd be richer than the Waltons.
   Extra parts that are packaged with the figures include one extra face for each character - Luffy retains his broad smile in his alternate face whilst Ace becomes dour and peeved in his alternate countenance, extra arms, a bottle of refreshment, cups, and a straw hat.

«©NCSX» The Portrait of Pirates CB-EX series of toys takes the characters of the One Piece franchise back to a more innocent time. A time before the Grand Line, before piracy, and before the misadventures that took the Straw Hat Pirates sailing around the world.

   Megahouse announces a new Portraits of Pirates CB-EX toy which recreates the likeness of Sabo in young'un PVC form as seen in episode 494 of the One Piece animation. Sabo was born into a wealthy family but he ran away from home at a young age to make his own way in the world. He meets Ace and the two become partners in crime who steal from pirates and hide their booty in an underground cache located in the Gray Terminal. The two are saving up to eventually buy a pirate ship so they can sail the high seas and rob more pirates. Luffy eventually joins the duo and the three become close compatriots with a common goal. The Sabo figure includes an extra face and a pipe prop.

«©NCSX» In the One Piece Strong World movie, Nami gets kidnapped by Gold Lion Shiki and Luffy endeavors to rescue her. Shiki's blowing up towns in East Blue, feeding animals a plant-based serum called "SIQ" to transform them into monsters, and is making a nuisance of himself. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates confront Shiki in memorable encounters filled with visual fireworks and screeching voice acting.

   Megahouse pays homage to Namie with a Portrait of Pirates Strong World figure which is wearing a skintight black leather outfit with thigh-high leggings and poofy pink shoulder guards. Nami stabs a blue staff downwards and her expression may be described as "resolute."

TOYS One Piece Portrait of Pirates Jinbei - New Import

«©NCSX» The One Piece manga/animation property has introduced fans to numerous characters who had cranky dispositions, heroic hearts, or odd appearances. NCS categorizes Jinbei in the "odd appearance" category because he's colored blue, blubbery, and has webbing on his hands and feet. As if that wasn't enough, Jinbei also possesses a face that only a mother could love thanks to the tusks that protrude from his mouth and Jin's perennial angry demon face. Won't easily find a smile on that mug.

   Megahouse is inducting Jinbei into its popular Portrait of Pirates series of toys which is known for its build quality and well-sculpted forms. Jinbei measures 25cm or 9.84" tall which is roughly 1/10 scale since series creator Eiichiro Oda lists his "actual" height at 301cm. A crimson hippari is wrapped around Jinbei's prodigious girth which is tied together with a blue sash. Beneath the hippari, witnesses may view a few red tats that are etched on Jinbei's skin. Preorders have shipped as of yesterday.

TOYS P.O.P One Piece Neo DX Trafalgar Law - Preorder

«©NCSX» Trafalgar Law is one of the "Eleven Supernovas" in the One Piece animated series and Captain of the "Pirates of Heart." Similar to Marco the Phoenix, Trafalgar likes tattoos and he has several on his hands and forearms. Law's special power is the ability to mix and match parts of anything that he slices with his nodachi - Law can slice off a person's arm and leg and then swap them with each other. Nice.

   The "Portrait of Pirates" rendition of Trafalgar Law is sculpted to 1/8 scale and measures 22cm or 8.66" tall. Trafalgar's outfit from the animated series is intact and all of his tattoos are evident, including the word, "D-E-A-T-H" which is imprinted on the fingers of both of his hands. «©NCSX» Chopper's duties on the Jolly Roger sailing vessel are those of a  physician. He applies bandages and administers the medicine on the shop to anyone who's sickly and bruised. The crew thinks Chopper's a raccoon but he's actually a reindeer with a blue button nose.

   Despite Chopper's status as a physician and his supposed adherence to the Hippocratic Oath, he's not above doling out some hurt when the occasion calls. In the One Piece Strong World movie, Chopper dons a black mafiosi outfit and carries a bazooka. Repeat: a bazooka. This is a doctor we're talking about. Chopper's new POP Strong World 1/8 scale figure takes its inspiration from the movie and features a black garbed Chopper. The bazooka is slung across his back in the photo but it may be unstrapped and laid across his feet. Chopper is articulated at the neck and arms and measures approximately 10cm or 3.93" in height. That's why Megahouse is releasing a second Roronoa Zoro figure which depicts him as a mafioso in a sleek shiny jacket and skinny black pants. When the Straw Hat Pirates face Gold Lion Shiki for a second time in the Strong World movie, they're all dressed like a crew of mafiosi and arrive armed to the nines.

   The Zoro Version 2 figure measures 23cm or 9.06" in height and is packaged with three swords and scabbard accessories. All three swords may be wielded by Zoro at once - two in his hands and the third between his clenched teeth. A gun accessory and an extra head for holding the sword are also included.
