   Sally, the patchwork doll that adores Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, from "The Nightmare Before Christmas," finally joins the "Revoltech" action-figure lineup from Kaiyodo! Her patchwork body and lovely figure are carefully sculpted, and her characteristic dress is also faithfully reproduced; the hem of her skirt has a gimmick that allows it to move backward and forward, so it's easy to pose her in a graceful sitting position.

   Sally comes with a total of five interchangeable faces, with interchangeable eyes! She also comes with plenty of accessories from the film, such as Zero (whose neck and ears move, and his mouth opens and closes), a display base for the nameless tombstone, and a flower. We're going to be accused of stating the obvious in about 1 second but here goes: "Jack Skellington of Nightmare Before Christmas fame has the look of death upon him." Maybe it's the sunken eye sockets, the bone-colored patina, or just that he looks like a skull.

Skeeters will know the deathly power of Jack Skellington this summer when Sega goes into the bug repellant business. Jack's head is used as a holder for an herbal-based mosquito repellent coil which is lit to produce a pleasant odor which skeeters steer away from. A total of 10 coils are included with the Jack Skellington Mosquito Killer and each coil lasts about 6 hours. Preorders are welcome to ship in late July 2008 at US$18.90 each. Two styles are on offer - a congenial Jack (A) and an ominous Jack (B).

Skulls in the cupboard are no big deal either. Medicom's Nightmare Before Christmas Kubrick Set A features Jack, his ghost dog Zero and Santa who's portly and rotund as ever. After being exposed to light and then left in the dark, Jack and Zero will glow with an eerie luminescence while Santa's left in darkness.

Jack Skellington 400% Kubrick

Jack Skellington's day job is the Pumpkin King of Halloweentown. He's tall, dark, and macabre. Take one look at his eye sockets and the word "macabre" instantly springs to mind. In Japan, there's been no shortage of toys based on the Nightmare Before Christmas movie which seems to have resonated remarkably well with the Japanese populace.

Medicom's latest entry in the burgeoning NBC toy library is a 400% Kubrick figure where Jack is decked out in a natty pinstripe tuxedo with a bow that's a bat. His hands are shaped like fixed-pose bear claws in which cylindrical items may be slotted through and grasped. Jack measures 25cm or 9.84" tall and features posable arms and legs which are socketed to his Kubrick-esque body. Preorders ship today and new orders are welcome.

Dot-Pin Jack Skellington

Disney and Tomy expand their Dot-Pin offerings with a new set based on the main character of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. The NBC Dots kit includes four panels and a total of 750 pegs split in white, black, pink, purple, and a new color called "glow." As in, these pegs glow in the dark for nifty luminous effects on spooky nights.

By pushing colored pegs into panels, dot artists may create various representations of Jack Skellington of Halloween Town including one where he opens his powerful maw like jaws.
Please note that the pricing for Disney branded Dots kits are higher than the other standard Dots kits due to the magic known as Disney licensing costs. Maybe the "glow" color also costs more in fabrication costs. Pricing is set at US$19 per kit and all preorders ship today. New orders are welcome.
