Dance Dance Revolution X - New Import, Restock Soon

«©NCSX» Konami released the North American version of Dance Dance Revolution X a couple of months ago but the Japanese get to enjoy the game as well this week. New to the series is the multi-player LAN Battle Mode (Party Mode) where four Playstation 2 consoles may be linked up via network cable so that eight players can dance simultaneously. The "Street Master Mode" features the background stories of 14 characters who compete against challengers in order to move their stories along. Konami also introduces "Shock Arrows" in DDRX which are directional cues that must be avoided.

The Japanese version of DDRX contains over 60 songs including Bemani classics such as "Butterfly" from SMILE.dk and "Dub I Dub" by Me & My. Flipping through the track list this morning, we see that SMILE.dk is represented thrice - in addition to "Butterfly [2008 X-edit]," Konami has also included "Boys [2008 X-edit]" and "Koko Soko [2008 X-edit]." The Pet Shop Boys' "Always on My Mind" makes the cut and if you play the song in the standard Game Mode, you can watch about 1/2 of the original video that aired on MTV over a decade ago.
Other notable tracks: Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" as covered by Purefocus and "Trickster" by Nana Mizuki.

Hula Wii: Minna de Fura Oodorou!! - New Import, In Stock

«©NCSX» When visiting Hawaii, one must do as the Hawaiians do. That means enjoying a fried Spam sandwich, buying a quart of orange juice at ABC for US$11, and doing the Hula. That's right, the Hula dance where even a gangster can wear a lei, shake his hips, and still stake his claim to being of the male gender. Sort of.

In Hula Wii, potential Hula practitioners get to watch live video of a professional Hula dancer as she sways, sashays, and waves her arms in rhythmic routines. You're supposed to mimic her movements to the best of your ability... or lack thereof while an onscreen Mii keeps track of your performance. A step chart on the bottom of the screen shows where your feet should be positioned during a dance to add to the challenge. The game is played with the Wii Balance Board (not included) and the Wii Remote is held in your hand so that your rhythmic arm motions are registered by the Hula software.

Along with the dancing action, the software also includes tidbits on Hawaii, the culture, and the geography of the islands as provided by the
Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau.

Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA 2 - New, In Stock

Dancing will never die. Whether it be in the jungles of South America or the concrete streets of New York City, people will always dance. Some dance in celebration of the rains that just saved the entire fall harvest while others dance just for the sheer enjoyment of moving in rhythm to the music. The DDR crowd fits into the latter category.

DDR SuperNOVA 2 was originally released in Japanese arcades last year and the game makes a quick trip to the Playstation 2. Over 70 songs made it through the conversion process with notable tunes such as:

Ain't no Mountain High Enough / Sloth Music Project feat. Malaya
True*Love / jun feat. Schanita
Look to the Sky / SySF, feat, ANNA
Raspberry*Heart [English version] / jun feat. PAULA TERRY
Freeway Shuffle / dj TAKA
WAITING FOR TONIGHT / P.A.T
SUNRISE [JASON NEVINS REMIX] / DURAN DURAN

... and many more.
