In the Odin Sphere game for the Playstation 2, a white-haired Valkyrie named Gwendolyn kicks off the adventure where she wields a weapon known as the Psypher Spear to battle foes. Gwendolyn is the daughter of Odin and since she's a Valkyrie, she's versatile in her battlefield maneuvers and can perform a swooping dive move where she glides across the screen with predator-like grace. From the air, Gwendolyn strikes downwards with her spear to put the fear of Odin in hapless foes and woodland animals alike.
Despite Odin Sphere being released back in 2007, Yamato pays homage to Gwendolyn with a non-scale PVC figure sculpted by Yasuhiro Uchijima which measures 25cm or 9.84" tall. Gwendolyn stands in repose while holding her Psypher Spear with both hands. A blue saucer serves as the display base which is fitted with a fallen log upon which a bluebird perches. Preorders are welcome to ship in October 2011.
