PSP Tales of Phantasia Narikiri Dungeon X - New, In Stock

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Back in the year 2000, Namco was still an independent entity and publishing their passel of game software on the consoles and handhelds of the day. One of their more notable releases that year was Tales of Phantasia Narikiri Dungeon for the humble Gameboy Color. In the game, a teen heroine named Mel and her twin brother Dio are all of 13 years old and they travel the dungeons of Phantasia with a pet named Couleur. Mel, Dio, and Couleur don't look like much but they've got skills and Couleur possesses special morphing capabilities.

The Gameboy rendition of Narikiri Dungeon was an engaging and enjoyable RPG that featured a clothing-change system, tools to use, and skillful tactics such as healing and special attacks. The clothing-change system allows the siblings to wear certain clothes which impart special abilities to the wearer. For example, one outfit would change Mel into a bona fide sorceress while another gave her the skills of a thief along with 64 other clothing styles. Dio also has 66 clothing styles to wear including one which changes him into Heiachi of Tekken fame and another which transforms him into Pac-Man. The siblings travel through time, go on missions, and make use of the versatile
Narikiri costume change system.

Fast forward to the present day and Namco Bandai rehashes TOPND for the PSP and they're also adding a remake of the original Tales of Phantasia game from the Super Famicom on the UMD as a bonus. New costumes have been added for Mel and Dio to wear in the PSP update. Early preorders will include a bonus Dramatic DVD that's being given away in 50% ratio.
