NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Step into a tower of shadows and into the shoes of a shadow-lad who's accompanied by a shadow-sylph. In the introductory cinema, the protagonist is a flesh-and-blood boy who's suspended in stasis inside a portal of some sort. A hooded figure approaches and slices the boy's shadow loose and drops it downwards and far away from the tower. The boy's mission is to get back to the tower and work his way up the entire span of the building with the ultimate goal of reuniting with his body at the top of the tower.
Kage no Tou is a hauntingly beautiful platform-puzzle game where players take control of a lad who's a mere shadow. Since he's only a shadow, he can only walk/run on the shadows of structures that appears on walls and actual structures. To defend himself against shadowy creatures, the shadow-boy slashes his shadow-sword, and jumps around to scale shadow-obstacles. Some of the play mechanics are evocative of Sony's echochrome (PSP) where the landscape may be manipulated and shifted to create pathways and bridges to heretofore unreachable areas.
All reservations will include a bonus Kage no Tou Original Soundtrack which is being given away by Hudson in 1:1 ratio.
