PSP Classic Dungeon Fuyoku no Masoujin - New Import

NCS Product Synopsis
«©NCSX» Top-viewed RPGs have been around for ages and Nippon Ichi takes a stab at creating a "classic" RPG that's obviously lifted from the age of the original Famicom. Features such as 5-channel-sounding music, plain big-pixel graphics, and beeping-booping sound effects are all in attendance along with a simple quest to conquer. Basic objectives such as chopping up monsters, gathering loot, and leveling up are also part and parcel of Classic Dungeon. Character archetypes are depicted with stylized representations and the game world is made up of dot-graphics greenery, brickwork, and woodlands.

At the outset of the game, a selection of pre-built character archetypes are available for the choosing but if they're not endearing enough, players can doodle their own heroes. The character construction function features a 13 x 13 big-pixel grid upon which the front, profile, and back of a hero is designed. Once you're pleased with how the front of the hero looks, you can rotate him to work on the back. Give him a pigtail if you wish. When exploring the world, the hero of your choosing travels alone but up to eight supporting characters can be positioned around him in the setup screen. Their portraits will appear on the upper-right corner of the screen in the cardinal directions that you've placed them in.

Reservations will ship with a bonus Classic Dungeon Original Soundtrack which contains 8-bit music that might bring back a bit of retro reverie.
