«©NCSX» In Midway's Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, gamers finally get to answer daunting questions such as, "Can Superman beat Raiden?" and "What happens when Batman meets Kano?" These questions and more will be answered when MK vs DCU ships next week for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America and Europe. Generally, games are the same in both territories but there'll be censoring in the U.S. version. To achieve a "Teen" rating in the States, Midway had to edit the Joker's gunshot-in-the-face fatality and Kitana's fan-to-forehead-impaling fatality. Seeing such heinous fictional actions would apparently traumatize the youth of North America.
Europeans are apparently a more permissive lot as their version of MK vs DCU won't be censored. Both fatalities will make it to the production version of the game which is scheduled to ship on November 21. NCS is accepting preorders for the European edition of the game which should be in stock by November 21 or 24.

Actually, in North America the T rating is for ages 13+. In Europe the rating is for ages 16+ (Which is only one year less than the ESRBs M rating.) That's why it's censored in North America.
