Quick History and Background
Labor Day always falls on the first Monday in September and was first celebrated on September 5, 1883. The holiday honors the American worker and the daily contributions that they have made to the economy and social fabric of the United States.
The factory machinist isn't just a machinist. The results of his work allows other workers to make a living. That barista isn't just a barista. The caffeine she dispenses gives other workers the energy to be productive and play fantasy football at work. The working man is interwoven with other working men and women to create the web of workers that keep America productive and moving forward.
