A lad named Sigma Kurogami who bears a slight resemblance to Harry Potter serves as the protagonist in Square's new action RPG. As the story goes, the Kurogami clan has long protected Japan by guarding a gateway that looks like a creaky Grandfather Clock. Should the members of the Kurogami lapse in their duties, demons will infiltrate the world of Man. When something unexpected happens, Sigma has to venture forth and solve mysteries and murders which are packed into individual chapters.
Sigma is more of a detective rather than a fighter so his battles are fought by a partner named Neon who attacks using a deck of action cards which are flipped out during encounters. Players roam around an isometric world while occasional animated sequences move the story along.
