Doraemon and friends find themselves in a board game which features 100 mini-games and robotic feline shenanigans. Four human or computer controlled players participate in each game where a throw of the dice determines the range of movement for every turn. As the characters race around the screen, various gadgets totaling 100 different types may be obtained which affect the conditions of play. For example, one power-up changes the dice for all of your competitors so that it sports a "1" on all six of its faces to limit their mobility.
The mini-games in Doraemon Wii range the spectrum of video interaction and include a wooden cart racing game, fishing inside someone's living room, cowboy quick draw, and one where all four players scrabble around a baseball diamond collecting coins while a robot shoots out electrical discharges. The board game is the main mode but a selection on the menu screen allows players to check out four mini-games but the remaining 96 have to be unlocked before they're selectable.
Some early preorders will ship with a set of Doraemon character bands that's meant to be worn around each player's wrist when playing.
