 «©NCSX» At the end of the first Ghost in the Shell series, Major Motoko Kusanagi melded with Kugutsu Mawashi (aka Puppeteer) and became a new entity dubbed Motoko Aramaki. The surname of "Aramaki" is an homage to Daisuke Aramaki who was chief director of the task force known as Public Security Section 9. In Ghost in the Shell 2: Man-Machine Interface, Motoko is director of the investigative division of a multi-national conglomerate known as Poseidon International. Capable of remotely controlling decoy robots (decots), Motoko transfers her consciousness between bodies to complete missions and assignments around the world.
 
    In manufacturer Vice's new 1/8 scale Motoko Aramaki PVC figure which measures 7.87" tall, the womanly cyborg reveals her girlish side. Normally dressed in grungy combat fatigues or a regulation issue uniform, Motoko shows off her taut belly muscles while wearing a frilly blue number.
 
    The top consists of a baby-blue ribbed vest with navy trim which shows off Motoko's ample assets while the bottom is an overly agitated dress which swirls around with a life of its own. Mo's gloved hands are perched on her hips in a stance of defiance and perhaps dominance. A white disc serves as the foundation upon which the Major stands.

   This epic graphic novel "The Killing Joke" by Alan Moore had a tremendous impact on the Batman films and comic books that succeeded it, and it is indeed the third time Kotobukiya is releasing a statue from it. One day, having lost all emotional support, a Red Hood Gang member is being hunted down by Batman. Cornered with nowhere to run, the man jumps into a river in a frantic attempt to escape. However, chemicals in the water from the Ace Chemical Processing Plant bleach his skin white, his hair bright green, and his lips red.

   Seeing his reflection in the water, the man stumbles to his feet and lets out an endless howling laugh, thus transforming into a madman. We worked hard on bringing this whole unforgettable sequence to life. From the worst of his many terrible tragedies, The Joker from his “One Bad Day” has been vibrantly re-imagined into a statue. The coloring was done based on the 20th anniversary monochrome version of the graphic novel, which featured re-coloring by the artist Brian Bolland himself. This statue comes with a special base and can be displayed straight out of the package!

Batman measures 7cm or 2.75" in stature and is decked out in the new battle armor from the recent Dark Knight movie. According to a short scene in the film, the new armor allows Batman to turn his head which makes it easier when "backing out of the driveway." Along with the Batman Kubrick, Medicom also includes a translucent blue Bearbrick figure which features a golden bat silhouette across its chest. Sort of like a Bear Wonder sidekick of sorts.
