«©NCSX» In the year 201X, a coven of vampires has descended upon Akihabara, Tokyo. They look like the natives - chiseled features, big eyes, and brightly hued hair, and they daywalk... just like the vamp killer known as Blade. Unlike the rest of the Japanese natives however, the vampires - known as the Kaguyashi - burn when their naked skin is exposed to sunlight. That's where you come in, a high-school-aged protagonist who gets embroiled in vampire drama and has to grab, snatch, and tear the clothes off the vamps in order to burn them from the face of the earth. The game is played in interactive sequences, exploration scenarios, and action-packed hand-to-hand combat interludes with ripping of clothes.

   The first production of the game is bundled with an original soundtrack which is being given away by the publisher in 50% ratio.

PSP Doki Doki Suikoden - New Import

«©NCSX» Back in 2001, Irem caught the American spirit of April Fool's and ran a gag on the Japanese gaming public. The shenanigan was titled, "Doki Doki Suikoden" which was supposed to be a dating simulation based in the Suikoden universe. Maidens were to be wooed and otaku were up in arms when it was revealed to be one big joke.

   Fast forward to the 10th Anniversary of the 2001 gag and Irem's serious about Doki Doki Suikoden now. They're so serious that an actual game has been produced which revolves around some mysterious mischief inside a high school. The protagonist teams up with fellow students such as a junior named Kimika Yakumo and a sophomore who answers to Yuko Haizeru. Together, the team investigates the happenings at school and develop romantic feelings for one another.

   The girls in the game wear school uniforms, swimsuits, and gym shorts for a total of over 300 outfits - all of which may be shattered during the course of the game. As an aside, Irem also touts 50 types of socks and underwear that the girls wear in the game. When the hero explores the school, he's accompanied by a trio of fellow students who collaborate to fight enemy agents who are afoot. It is during the battle sequences where the classmates' clothing may be torn asunder. To imbue the heroines with special abilities, the aforementioned 300+ types of outfits may be worn for new talents and skills.

TOYS Mario Kart Wii Sound Drop Compact - Reissue Import

«©NCSX» The sounds, chimes, and jingles of the Mario Kart Wii game are captured in Bandai's new Mario Kart Wii Sound Drop Compact Repeat toy collection which ships in April of next year. A total of eight drops are featured in the set which include a "STAR" version, "MYSTERY BLOCK," a "BANANA SKIN" version, "BLUE SHELL" and four others. By pressing a button on each Sound Drop, the sound chip inside each toy plays a sound effect whichs plays for roughly 1-2 seconds in length. To play a variant sound effect that's built into each Sound Drop, press and hold the button to force the chip to retrieve its alternate programmed sound.

   Pricing is set at US$36.90 for the complete set of 8 toys as pictured in the product photo.

TOYS Itazura Coin Bank Panda - New Import

«©NCSX» Last year around this time, Japanese manufacturer Shine released the Itazura Coin Bank - Mikeniko Kitty Version which featured a coin-grabbing kitty. This year, it's time for a cuddly panda bear to help citizens sink their savings into a safe place. At first glance, the Coin Bank looks like a recreation of a box of biscuits. However, plop a coin on the oval-shaped plate atop the box and the lid creaks open. Next, a panda shoves its paw outwards and slides the coin into the box like a boss. Once the panda's mission is accomplished, the lid of the box slams shut until another coin is laid on top of the bamboo dish.

   The coin bank runs on two "AA" batteries (not included) which are fitted into the hatch on the underside. The bank accepts coins that are 2.70cm in diameter and under. For us Yanks, this capacity accommodates quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. For Japanese folks, the coin bank can accept JPY500, JPY100, JPY50, JPY10, and JPY5 coins.

X360 Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon - Preorder

«©NCSX» The year is 2010 A.D. and an invasion of alien insects is in progress. Not just any old insect that buzzes and can be shooed away with a wave of the hand. No, these insects are bigger than mobile homes and have a penchant for rampant destruction. Ants and spiders lead the insect vanguard but powerful robots are also part of the invasion on the planet. The action takes place in New Detroit where 15 missions of exciting insect killing carnage awaits intrepid soldiers.

   When ants are swarming around New Detroit, players might feel a sense of despair as the insects scrabble everywhere and attack buildings in creepy, crawly fashion. Players may engage in a Campaign mode, a Remix Campaign mode, and an online Survival Mode. A cooperative for two players allows gamers to destroy insects in split-screen mode. Players can also opt to challenge themselves by ramping the difficulty level to "Hard" or "Inferno" if they're looking for more intensity in their insect killing activities. Similar to earlier Earth Defense Force games, the backgrounds are interactive in that buildings may be leveled once they've taken enough damage. Preorders are welcome to ship on July 7, 2011.
