«©NCSX» R2-D2 is accustomed to being pimped out in the name of merchandising and it was with amusement that we glanced at Heart Art Collection's new R2-D2 Desktop Trash Can. The company has already released a full-sized R2-D2 trash bin but this new one's a small and compact model that's suitable for a desk, a shelf, or maybe the top of the computer. A little foot pedal located on the lower-front of R2-D2 may be depressed to pop R2's lid. Heart Art's promotional flyer shows R2 being used as a planter but we think that's a poor use for the can. «©NCSX» Kow Yokoyama's cult Maschinen Krieger ZbV 3000 property features armored machines which are gritty and somewhat believable in that they could probably exist if human military designers had mech-blueprints on their minds.
The H.A.F.S. (Heavy Armored Fighting Suit) Super Jerry is a two-legged attacker which is armed with missile launchers and guns. Wave is releasing a 1/20 scale Super Jerry construction kit this November which we think looks great. «©NCSX» The girls of Idolmaster are recruited to represent themselves on a pair of cushions which are shipping from Banpresto later this year. There's a pink cushion with satiny covering which features girls inside bubbles and a green cushion which shows off a troupe of girls in a group shot. The cushion measures 35cm or 13.77" long on each side. Preorders ship in late Dec 2009 at US$19.90 each.

«©NCSX» Named after a Ford designer named Carroll Shelby, the 1967 Shelby GT500 was what car enthusiasts referred to as a "sweet ride." We've seen one mint condition Shelby in our travels through Long Island, New York which was probably restored at least once. Maybe twice. Good Smile Company celebrates the muscle-bound goodness of the Shelby with a 1/43 scale PVC recreation which measures 11cm or 4.33" in length and looks every bit the part of the classic vehicle with obligatory racing stripes. «©NCSX» The coin-op version of Melty Blood Actress Again originally shipped in September 2008 and it was one of NCS' better selling coin-op kits for last year. In late December 2008, Ecole shipped an MBAA Rom A-Version eprom kit to operators which upgraded and rebalanced the game. The money has been pretty much made on coin-op MBAA for the manufacturer and operators alike so it's time for Ecole to give the greenlight for a Playstation 2 home conversion of the game which ships this week in Japan.

Melty Blood is a popular 2D fighting game in Japan with fast action and fluid gameplay. It's the kind of fighter that draws in hardcore players who hone their technique and sharpen their skills by practicing hours upon hours against other hardcore players. Actress Again features three groove variations - Full Moon, Half Moon, and Crescent Moon - which govern the moves and combination attacks that a particular character can utilize. The PS2 conversion features new game elements and a brand new fighter. The character selection screen contains a total of 25 fighters including Akiha Vermilion, Ryougi Shiki, and Yumiduka Satsuki.
