White Gamecube Controller Restock A batch of Nintendo's official White Gamecube Controller arrived today and we'll fill backorders this afternoon. The pads are sold out again as of this morning but additional restock is expected within the next 1-2 weeks.

Playstation Portable Restock The PSP Chotto Shot and GPS Receiver have been restocked and all backorders will ship today.

DC Under Defeat - Under 25 copies On March 24, NCS updated the inventory status of Under Defeat Limited Edition which had dropped below 50 copies. As of this morning, our inventory has dwindled to 23 copies.

Super Mario Galaxy Super Ball Set - New, In Stock

The Wham-O Super Ball has been around since 1965 and we recall the olden days when kids used to throw one or more around in the schoolyard and smack the other kids in the face with them. Those types of shenanigans probably still go on today so Bandai has announced a set of Super Balls with Super Mario Galaxy figurines inside.

Each Super Mario Galaxy Super Ball measures 45mm or 1.77" in diameter so they're roughly regulation issue size. The Super Balls that are sold in the USA are approximately 1.66" in diameter. Eight styles are on offer including one which contains a Star and another which houses a Flower from the Mario universe. Spelunker: Dangerous Hero Sofubi Toy - New, In Stock

Our first encounter with the game "Spelunker" was on the Atari 8-bit computers from way back when. In 1985, Spelunker was ported over to the Famicom and that single moment was enough to green-light a toy figure based on the hero of the game... over two decades later.

Japanese manufacturer Pleasant Angels has started a toy series dubbed Old Game Heroes and the debut figure is the miner/adventurer from Spelunker. The soft vinyl figure measures 16cm or 6.29" tall and is armed with a Phantom Blaster which is used to vaporize discarnates that lurk in the caverns below. Spelunker also used a bomb to blow up rocks but the figure isn't equipped with any explosives. Our nomination for the next figure in the series: Bagman. «Larger Photos»

TOYS Star Wars Deformed Figures Vol. 1 - New, In Stock

When preorders were opened up for the Star Wars Deformed figures last year, the toy industry was celebrating the 30th Anniversary of George Lucas' masterwork. One year later but still desirable, the toys are now in stock and shipping. Darth Vader is normally an imposing figure with a wide stance and swishy cape. In Tomy's Star Wars Deformed Figure set, Darth is more munchkin than menace. Yoda looks properly proportioned as does R2-D2 but the other three figures have been squashed and deformed into squat versions of themselves. From the upper left of the photo below and rotating clockwise, the figures are:

» Darth Vader - A gauntlet is raised and the lightsaber is in guard position
» Storm Trooper - Obedient space soldiers always have blank expressions

The figures measure between 5-6 cm in height and are fully painted, assembled, and ready for display. The manufacturer's specs sheet mentions that two chase figures are randomly packaged in the various factory cases of 12 toys. In case you're wondering what they are, the first chase figure is a C-3PO repaint in stark white and the second chase figure celebrates R2-Q5 in all of its black and gold trim glory.

Disgaea 3 Limited Edition Items - Clearance

When Disgaea 3 was released earlier this year, NCS ordered too many units of the limited edition. We tend to over-order LE items just in case there are shortages. We sold a lot more of the regular edition and we eventually started taking the game out of the LE bundle. The Limited Edition of Disgaea 3 is bundled with two bonus items as follows:

Metal Gear Solid 4 Dog Tag Strap - Preorder

When MGS4 ships this summer, it's going to be a global event where the culmination of Kojima's work is laid bare for the world to witness. Sales for the game are expected to be monumental but tie-in merchandising has for the most part been kept to a threadbare minimum.

System Service bucked the trend over the weekend by starting preorders for a set of Metal Gear Solid 4 Dog Tag Straps which feature the following personalities: Old Snake, Raiden, Meryl, Johnny, Vamp, and Liquid Ocelot. Each dog tag measures 50mm or 1.96" in length and is made of metal. A strap is tethered to the top of each dog tag for attachment to your cell phone or perhaps your ring finger. The dog tags will be packaged in plastic capsules and sold randomly in Japan. To make it easy as pie for collectors to get all six dog tags, NCS will sort out the capsules into complete sets of six and sell them in mid-late July 2008. Preorders are welcome today.
