«©NCSX» After printing three volumes of Shooting Gameside, the publisher goes back and prints Vol. 0 because they forgot to do it. Or something like that. Volume 0 is actually a compilation of shooter articles and vignettes from the original 'Gameside' magazine (defunct as of July 2010) which are reprinted along with some new content. The magazine was released in late 2011 but our vendors finally filled our request this week. The contents of Vol. 0 are as follows:

NEWS Metroid: Other M Samus Aran Figures

Reservations are welcome for two Metroid: Other M figures from Max Factory which are shipping in June 2012. The first figure is a Samus Aran 'Suits' figure where the blonde space warrior is decked out in a skin-tight blue costume which accentuates her bosom. Samus carries a blaster and a little Metroid mounted on a stalk shadows her from behind. The fixed-pose figure measures 22cm or 8.66" tall and a circular display base is included.

The second figure is a figma rendition of Samus in full golden armor which is posable and fitted with a blue arm-blaster. A Morph Ball, five variant hands, and two beams for her blaster are included in the figma packaging. Reservations for the Samus Aran 'Suits' figure and the Samus figma figure are welcome to ship in late June 2012.

European vendors have opened preorders for the PAL edition of The Last Story Limited Edition which includes a steelbook case, 7-track soundtrack, and illustrated art book. Please note PAL games are not compatible with vanilla NTSC Wii consoles with the latest firmware. However, if you have an older Wii with firmware 3.2U and below, you can use the Freeloader to boot The Last Story on a North American Wii console without issues. «©NCSX» A new girl named Kagura takes up the sword in a new hack 'n slash action game where zombies and the monstrous overlords are eviscerated and plundered in gory fashion. Kagura bears a strong resemblance to Aya of previous Onechanbara game with her svelte yet buxom frame, wavy tresses, and cowboy hat. Kagura battles the undead with her half-sister Saaya and the two are half-human and half-vampire killing machines. At the outset of the game, the two sisters are en route from Romania to Japan to eliminate Aya and Saki for rousing zombies all over the world.

The two girls are armed with three weapons each with which to slay their adversaries and deal damage on a quick and massive scale. For example, Kagura wields dual swords while Saaya is armed with a chainsaw to buzz through undead flesh. A new system introduced in the game called 'Blood Recovery' allows the sisters to regain health by drawing in their own spilled blood. Since the sisters are vampires, they can perform a move called 'Heroic Drain' which sucks blood from powerful foes to reduce their vitality and prepare them for the eventual kill.

Playstation Vita Cradles Restocked
Sony's Vita Cradle which allows the Playstation Vita to be propped upright (hands-free) for viewing movies and such has been restocked for new orders. The cradle also allows audio to be piped to external speakers. Pricing is set at US$28.90. Minna no Golf 6 and Power Smash 4 have also been restocked.

Tales of the Abyss Dramatic CD
A Japanese vendor had a surplus of a few hundred Tales of the Abyss Dramatic CD bonuses that were originally given away with the release of Tales of the Abyss for the Nintendo 3DS and we've imported a few for general sales. The CD contains three tracks of dramatic voice acting with performances by Chihiro Suzuki, Yukana, Yasunori Matsumoto, Takehito Koyasu, Halko Momoi, and Kazuki Yao.

Vita Uncharted Restocked
All backorders for Uncharted Chizu no Bouken no Hajimari for the Vita are shipping today along with all backorders for the Vita 4GB Memory Cards and Minna no Golf 6 for Vita. The official Sony Playstation Vita User Manual has been online for a while and users who've purchased the Japanese Vita can use it to answer questions and any niggles encountered with the Vita. For example, to charge the Vita with the included USB cable, the Vita must be completely powered off and not in standby mode. The option to power the Vita via USB cable must also be checked in the system menu.

Vita 4GB Memory Cards shipping today
All outstanding orders for the 4GB memory cards will ship this afternoon. If you've selected UPS Overnight service, we will automatically switch your shipping method to USPS Express Mail because UPS will not deliver overnight packages until Tuesday of next week due to the Christmas holiday. USPS Express Mail will deliver on Saturday as part of their normal delivery schedule. Customers who have chosen UPS Ground will be switched over to USPS Priority Mail for delivery by Monday.

«©NCSX» In the Danball Senki action-adventure for the Playstation Portable, the protagonist of the game is a lad who takes ownership of a little combat robot known as an LBX. By upgrading the robot and honing its battlefield prowess, the LBX goes on competitions and (hopefully) wins them in order to scale ever more powerful in scope.

The first production of the Danball Senki game included a bonus LBX-AX-00 model kit and Bandai is following up with a set of gashapon toys that feature snazzy LBX robot designs that should stoke the passions of Danball fans. The new set of toy robots aren't fully assembled but they're easily snapped together with a few pushes, tucks, and tugs. Five standard LBXs are packaged into the plastic capsules but a sixth secret figure may be created with parts that are included in each of the five LBX figures. To be clear, none of the games that support the Slide Pad require the Slide Pad. However, game play is apparently improved when the second analog thumb pad is used. No physical port connection between the Nintendo 3DS and the Slide Pad is made when the 3DS is slotted into the accessory - the two devices communicate by way of infrared connectivity. Rubber molding on the inside of the Slide Pad's 3DS cavity ensure a tight grip but please note the Slide Pad covers the 3DS cartridge slot. Every time you wish to switch games, the 3DS must be lifted up and out of the Slide Pad.

Nintendo could probably manufacture a 3DS that integrates the Slide Pad in the future and call it the '3DS-SP' but for now, the ungainly platform that holds the Slide Pad will have to do. A single AAA battery powers the Slide Pad and add a bit of weight to the integrated unit. All preorders are shipping today and new orders are welcome.

One supply shortage that may pop up when it's time to ship orders is with the Vita memory sticks.
